Silvertone 8102 AM/Phono/Wire Recorder

This console has an unusual device called a wire recorder. It can record or play from a thin piece of wire. This technology was used during the war and became available soon after to the consumers. Wire recorders were soon replaced by magnetic tape.

My all works, including the recording microphone. I would say it is worth around $150.00. These don't seem to be too popular with the collectors.
